About Me

Marius Oberholster Hey! I'm having an incredible learning experience, not only learning how Blender works (yes, still learning), but also about Open-Source and the incredible software available. Stick around!

A bit of what's going on with the book!

Hey all!

I really enjoy seeing views on the website and I particularly enjoy it when I know that what you find here is interesting and educational to you at the same time, so thank you for your support. Feel free to tell your friends about this blog and the upcoming book on procedural textures (^^,)!

Back to the post. Today I started working on the ruin + ivy scene. I want to, through this tutorial show you that you can achieve some extremely complex things you may not even have dreamed possible. Right now though, the scene only looks like this:

It doesn't look very impressive yet, but as I would like to mention, this is only the first step after modeling. Now, this also represents the start of unwrapping the scene. What that means is that you can indeed use UV Unwrapping with procedural textures in Cycles too, not just Blender Render.

Looking forward to showing you more and giving you some more tips and hints along the way as a taste of what the book has to offer. Hope y'all are too!

Thank YOU!!!!!!!!
