This is a rough post to show the overall composition in HD at 50% resolution. The clouds are gone, because of layer masking.


My brother (the one for who I'm doing this project) wanted me to add lightning so I watched Andrew Price's tutorial on lightning and here it is adapted for this project:

I have a problem with the lightning in the scene and I'm sure most of you will agree (feel free to comment via the Facebook page, because this post will be linked there). Here are my reasons:
1) The weather doesn't fit lighting
2) The scene's overall vibe doesn't support it
3) It throws the composition out of balance
4) It just looks really out of place

For it to fit, I would have to change all of the above concerning the environment and tone of the scene in order to accommodate lightning, which I really don't want to do at all, so I believe HE's given me a solution:
Make two finals; one with - and one without lightning.

We'll see, keep those eyes here and on the thread for more updates:
