About Me

Marius Oberholster Hey! I'm having an incredible learning experience, not only learning how Blender works (yes, still learning), but also about Open-Source and the incredible software available. Stick around!

Hey there, long time no see

Hey everyone!

Missed posting and really thought about the blog a lot, but I finally have the time to get back to the book again.

Had some big projects unrelated to Blender or visual stuff and it has really taken up a huge amount of time, but the last project was wedding pictures for a friend of mine. I was not the official wedding photographer and I would really like to say thank you to him and his team for a smashing job of directing them. Without their hard work, my pictures would probably have come out quite bad, lol.
You can see the ones I took on my facebook at this location. I'm sure you will luv the pics!

Anyway, I've been working a bit on the tile tutorial again (almost finished) and found that the modeling method sucks for areas like the windows, where you see the thickness of the tiles (like in most bathrooms). So, I changed the tutorial to only allow modeling for inside cornered areas and not on any surface that it could cast a shadow on. I also found the reason for the diagonal lines inside the door frame and the windows. I was shown that my X's scale was on 0.02, which allowed it to squint a bit. Making it a complete 0, stretched it perfectly for the window and door frames. Don't know what I mean? Check the before and after below:
Before:

Then:

Now:

To really see the difference, I made all to open in a new tab when clicked on, but be aware that they all will insist on the same new tab.

Hope you like the new result better too!! (^^,)

Thank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
