A lot has happened since the last Blog Update!!!!!! The bottom two shelves' books are finished!!
On the thread a user commented that the titles on the spines looked too
big. We have a lot of books and I double checked and decided to show him
that the smoothing enhances and amplifies rounding. The below shows how
the medium book looks like in 3DView with flat shading. As you can see
the title sits nice and snug.

Here's the bottom two shelves in close-up:
(all titles and covers are fictional)
After the above and overall render, people were a bit harsh with their fault-finding. I was a little upset, but when I calmed down, I saw they were right and a lot had to be enhanced. Starting with loose standing chairs. Left: Old look. Right: New version.
The guitar needed a bracket to hang on the wall as it does. One user posted a reference image to one and I looked at it and made something similar, and a bit bigger, but thinner:
(look at the bottom and on the top half of the neck)
Finally I got to the couches. One of the comments was that they are too low-poly (low 3D detail) for the scene. I saw what he meant, because they had sharp edges everywhere. So I spent some time on the couch and the matching loveseat. Personally I think they are done, except for the feet (they hover at the moment, lol), but I may work on them a little bit more, especially the sofa.
(check the folds near the arm rests)
After the couch render completed, I saw the wall looked stretched, so I fixed that as well:

And how does it look so far?
(not the best angle, I know, LOL)
