Motion Blur for Anime

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 Under: Tutorials
Hey all!

Yey, tutorial time again!

Today's tutorial is about motion blur for anime. While it is not often seen, it is definitely used in various ways, from distortion drawing, to blurring to action lines, you find various techniques of highlighting or fleshing out certain movements. In this short video, JESUS enabled me to show you how to do a partial, or distorted, motion blur using the Vector Blur node in Blender's compositor. Check it out!

GOD is so cool!!

I am so thankful that GOD had me do this video, because I had worked with motion blur in the passed on this very topic, but never really got a result I was happy with. What I was missing is the separation of the moving objects from the background. It made all the difference! GOD is so good!!
The HOLY SPIRIT brought me back to this, by using another person's work in this same area - getting those 2D elements working in 3D space. You can see his twitter account with his experiments here.

Do you know JESUS yet?

Have a great one and GOD bless!!
