About Me

Marius Oberholster Hey! I'm having an incredible learning experience, not only learning how Blender works (yes, still learning), but also about Open-Source and the incredible software available. Stick around!

Not the first, but the most important post for JESUS

Posted by Marius Oberholster on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 Under: The Gospel
I don't typically write down things I believe GOD wants me to tell people, because HE doesn't have me do so very often, but today I saw an incredible testimony, which I also shared with you all, but there came something a lot heavier after.

This afternoon, on TBN, they had Bill Wiese talking about his 23 Minutes in Hell. I was rocked to my core anew. GOD is not to be trifled with, but HE's also not out to condemn people and that's something I needed to hear again, after seeing something like that. GOD, as loving and as just as HE is, is not pleased with sin. Neither should we be.

I don't think up how I can mess up and sin during everyday and I am sure if you are a believer, you don't either, but the problem is that we still do and no matter how good we may think we are and how wonderful our behavior might be for like a few minutes, it will never be good enough. Our behavior alone, will never enable us to make it.

JESUS said a few things that I want to tell you about on salvation.

The first was when HE had spoken to the rich young ruler, whom HE told to go sell everything he has and give it to the poor and to then come and follow HIM. After the rich man walked away, JESUS said that it is very very hard for people who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom and this stunned the disciples. They probably felt the same fear creep onto them that I was feeling after seeing that testimony. Within that state, they asked 'Who then can be saved' and JESUS said with man it is impossible, but with GOD all things are possible.

We don't make it based on our works. Never have and never will, but, those who love GOD, will obey GOD and the Word says that only those who do the will of GOD will make it. That means, if I am really saved, my life and my actions will show it. It will show in how I treat people, what I watch, what I listen to, etc. Even if we manage to get to a point where we don't have this horrible struggle with our flesh all the time, we still don't make it without JESUS' sacrifice on the cross. The price HE paid is all that is good enough. HE is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one gets to GOD except by HIM.

Another thing JESUS said was on justification. There were two people praying at the temple, one a pharisee and the other a tax collector. The pharisee, prayed that he was thankful that he is not like the rest of men and that his behavior is so godly and that he is nothing like the tax collector there next to him. The Word even says he was praying to and with himself. While he may have been addressing GOD, his heart was nowhere near GOD...
The tax collector on the other hand said: "Oh GOD, be merciful to me, an especially wicked sinner". The Word says the tax collector walked away justified and guess who had the better outward performance.
The tax collector was justified before GOD, because he knew his state and acknowledges GOD's authority to judge HIS creation. He put his faith in GOD's mercy, not his own character. GOD justified him, because he believed, not because he had a perfect performance.

So while I want you to understand that your behavior is very important and does matter to GOD, it does not save you, while it can condemn you if your heart and life does not belong to CHRIST.

JESUS came so we wouldn't have to be afraid of that great and terrible day of the LORD. No, HE came for the sick, HE came for people who don't have it all together and I am not even close. The Word says that fear has to do with punishment. When we come to GOD, we must put our faith in the sacrifice that JESUS made for us, not our works. HE died so we could make it. HE was raised from the dead to raise us up too, at the last day. Do not let your life be wasted on worldly things and cares that won't make any difference. JESUS loves you and doesn't want you to go to hell.
I don't want anyone to go either, and I believe GOD wants me to write this post, so you'll know it too.

Romans makes it clear how to be saved:
If you confess with your mouth JESUS as LORD and you believe in your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved.

If you are convicted by this message and you want to accept JESUS, just pray sincerely and say something like:
I believe YOU are LORD, JESUS. I believe in my heart that GOD raised YOU from the dead. I repent of my sins, help me live the life YOU created for me and died for me to have. Help me do the will of GOD the FATHER, so I may spend all eternity with YOU. Fill me with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and live through me, JESUS.
Thank YOU for saving me, in JESUS' Name.
Amen

If you prayed that from your heart, you have been born again and are saved. Now, your journey with GOD begins. It is not easy and it does not promise a problem free life, but you now have a GUIDE who will never leave you nor forsake you.

Thank YOU!

PS. Now you need to study and work out that salvation so you can be a light in a dark world. Get a good Bible. You can read on BibleGateway, download Turbo Bible from the home page link and get a Bible physically, so you can learn about GOD's character and how HE really is. The NIV, the AMP and the KJV are good translations.

GOD knows and loves you!

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
