Hey all!
As you know, this blog has been going for just over a year now, and I do thank everyone of you that have been reading!
Image postsThere is a different kind of blog post known as an image post. What it is, is a normal blog post that you attach an image to. That image is then displayed right under the Title and Date at full size. This means that if you do want to use image posts, you need to make sure that your images are not full HD. Not everyone has a monitor that size and the style's white section does not compensate for the extra size.
If this
turns out to look cool, it may very well be the way I plan to do future
progress posts and so on (not always of course, but could definitely add
something more, I hope).
Hover menuAlong
with this, Yola sent out an e-mail this morning that they now have
drop-down or hover menus as one of their features for website menus
(currently only on the Free styles). I know that people have struggled
to find my work and portfolio on the website in the past and so I jumped
at the chance to add it. You can now just hover your mouse over the
Galleries menu item at the top and it will give you the three gallery
pages available here. The portfolio is as always in the top right
corner.
Link preview thumbnail optionsI
have also been shown that if you just made a blog post that contains a
few images and you want to post it as a link only, give it some time
(maybe a few minutes at the most) and those images will be available for
the preview under the link in social networking such as Google+ and
Facebook. Possibly Twitter as well, but I am not on it, so I really
can't say for sure.
Commenting through DisqussWhile I have started looking into getting this commenting system for the blog, I am also very reserved about doing so. Not because of the system, but because I know how people can get. It is however the only commenting system currently allowed by Yola, so if I do decide to add it, I will let you know. The plan is to do so, just so you know which way I am leaning for this. Still need to finish reading the t's and c's.
A big thanx to everyone that has had an input in making the tutorials possible so far!!!
Have a great one!!
Thank YOU!!!!!
