Test render

Hey all!

I went ahead of the tutorial on this one for now, because I needed to see how this scene could be finished. The below is NOT the finished scene. It is only a test render and looks cheap and nasty (apart from the ruin, but even that is out of focus, lol):

Looks terrible.... lol.

Anyway, the night of, I was working on the trees. Making sure to keep it as simple as possible, but still giving as much detail as possible. It's a juggling act in every project (no matter how powerful your PC is, you still want the fastest render with the best possible look).

This is a 300pass render of a tree:

When comparing the two, the tree looks marvelous and so it should. This tree, believe it or not, takes a lot less memory to render than a plane with procedural textures on it to form a tree. That is how many nodes it takes to make one.

This looks tons better too and works better, so yey for the tree generator!!! Lol.

Anyway, back on point. I have added a lot to the scene since the above render and it looks much better too, though unfortunately not as real as I wanted (it can be made much more complex, but my hardware is limited).

Hope y'all like the progress on this one!

Thank YOU!!!!!!!
